McSweeney’s Internet Tendency

McSweeney’s is a publishing company based in San Francisco. As well as operating McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, a daily humor website, we also publish Timothy McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern and an ever-growing selection of booksunder various imprints. You can buy all of these things from our online store. We’re also transitioning to a nonprofit and would greatly appreciate your help. You can support us today by making a donation.

McSweeney’s exists to champion ambitious and inspired new writing, and to challenge conventional expectations about where it’s found, how it looks, and who participates. We’re here to discover things we love, help them find their most resplendent form, and imagine new ways to bring them to you, Dennis. (If you are not Dennis, kindly ignore the aforementioned.)

McSweeney’s Publishing Board Members: Natasha Boas, Kyle Bruck, Carol Davis, Brian Dice, Dave Eggers, Caterina Fake, Gina Pell, Nion McEvoy, Isabel Duffy-Pinner, Jeremy Radcliffe, Jed Repko, Julia Slavin, and Vendela Vida.

The Doctor T. J. Eckleburg Review was founded in 2010 as an online and print literary and arts journal. We take our title from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby and include the full archives of our predecessor Moon Milk Review. Our aesthetic is eclectic, literary mainstream to experimental. We appreciate fusion forms including magical realist, surrealist, meta- realist and realist works with an offbeat spin. We value character-focused storytelling and language and welcome both edge and mainstream with punch aesthetics. We like humor that explores the gritty realities of world and human experiences. Our issues include original content from both emerging and established writers, poets, artists and comedians such as authors, Rick Moody, Cris Mazza, Steve Almond, Stephen Dixon, poets, Moira Egan and David Wagoner and actor/comedian, Zach Galifianakis.
