Marie Abate is the author of The April Sonnets, a poetry collection from Aldrich Press. She has an M.A. in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. Her poetry has recently been published in Weave, Free State Review, The Sewanee Theological Review, and Vending Machine Press. She lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland.

Gabriela C. Romeri @ Frederick Arts Council on 9.29.16

Gabriela Romeri is originally from Argentina, emigrating to the U.S. during the height of the Dirty War there in the 70s when a military dictatorship turned against the people. She grew up in Washington, D.C. and received an MA in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. Her fiction has appeared in Gargoyle Magazine, Moon Milk Review, Riverbabble and in an anthology of women writers called Grace and Gravity by Paycock Press, among others. Her nonfiction has appeared in the Dr. T.J. Eckleburg Review, America Magazine and Maryknoll magazines where she’s worked as a bilingual associate editor for the past five years. The wild and pacifist opinions Miss Romeri insists on expressing are solely her own, though she does like to share.

John Holly has been involved in the arts for over 25 years actively in theatre, literature, music, and visual art. John runs three poetry groups in Frederick, at Frederick Coffee company, Vini CULTURE and Skauare Burger. Poetry and art are his passions He has shown his work in Frederick, as well as nationally. Literature in Frederick is his true love.
