by Dale Wilsey Jr.
carve my chest
I am split
broken ribs
heart pumps
whiskey
remembrance
memories
of crimson leaves
& creek ripples
dancing haze
through
barn windows
try to trace
meaning in dust
on glass
I am left
lonesome groans
of knotted wood
