Half Empty Bottle

Liquid silk, stillness.
A breeze from closing the
freezer door then a pinch
to the mouth.

Stick the tip of your
tongue in wishing well,
past a bitter rim of flame.

Tingles like fingers
pressed against the throat.
Clear sparks rise
from black of the body—glistening
puddle where all things

hide

breathe again.
