ECKLEBURG BOOK CLUB | Maraschino Cherries by Richard Peabody

From Speed Enforced by Aircraft

Red attracts children.
And then you’re hooked.

As a kid you never get enough of them
unless your mother likes fruity drinks.

Finally ate my fill
when I worked in a bar.

All that red dye.

Like eating the heart of
a candy animal.
